The Cadaverine

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

The Cadaverine accepts unsolicited submissions of previously unpublished literary fiction, poetry and reviews by writers aged 30 and under. International submissions are welcome but all submissions must be in English.

Please submit no more than up to three short stories, six poems or two reviews in one submission. Work must be in standard font such as Times New Roman, 12pt with double line spacing. No personal information must appear on the submission itself, only the title of the piece is allowed. Please include a short biography no longer than 50 words and an author photo, which must be submitted in a separate document to the piece/s you are submitting.

Each short story must be no longer than 5000 words, though bear in mind that The Cadaverine is an online platform so shorter pieces work best. There is no minimum length. We do on occasions accept longer pieces if we feel the quality is exceptional.

Each poem must be no longer than 50 lines long.

Reviews must be between 400 to 800 words and must be relevant to newly released poetry or prose piece.

By submitting your work for consideration by The Cadaverine you are agreeing to enter into an editorial process in relation to suggested changes or developments from our editors. Please only submit if you are willing to enter into this process. Universal Copyright remains with the author.

To get an idea of the sort of work we're looking for please read the work that's already published on our website. We receive a high number of submissions and aim to respond to each one within eight to twelve weeks.
